Eugene offers public transportation primarily through bus services operated by the Lane Transit District (LTD). The LTD bus system serves various areas within Eugene, including the University of Oregon campus and surrounding neighborhoods. In addition to regular fixed-route buses, the LTD also operates EmX, a bus rapid transit (BRT) system with dedicated lanes and prioritized signals along select corridors. EmX provides faster and more frequent service to key destinations in Eugene. Aside from buses, Eugene does not currently have a light rail system or other major modes of public transportation.
